I briefly met Rica back in April at a different shoot we were doing for one of her friends. She was accompanied by her incredibly adorable pom named Cotton, and we got to know each other a little bit through small talk.
So, fast forward to a couple of months after when I did this shoot with her, I didn’t know what to expect at all. All I know was, we were going to do it on a beach somewhere, and we were both hella excited for it. She hit me up, I gave her a list of resorts near Manila, and everything just happened so fast from there haha!
After numerous Grab trips and her car breaking down just before leaving for Batangas, we FINALLY made it to the resort. Luckily we arrived just after the rain stopped, and there was barely any people on the beach (well, also because it was a weekday haha).
Working with her was a breeze (I mean, look at her, she’s already gorgeous), but I think the best part for me was bonding with Rica in the car on the way to the beach. It was refreshing to talk to a client as if we’ve known each other for a long time. We spoke about our goals, dreams, struggles as “self-made women”, business woes, love, family.. BASICALLY EVERYTHING.
Her being a fashion designer, and having the eye for details, Rica always gives me sound advice in growing my business and in improving my craft as a photographer.
Here’s to more shoots together, and personal growth <3
