Kiarel, as i'd like to call her, and I, go wayyyy back! As in high school! Ever since she was a headstrong girl who knew what she wanted and will go through lengths to get it. We of course, bonded over boys, and that came with a crap ton of drama. But that didn't stop our friendship. I love this girl to bits!
Kiarel is a strong and confident woman. Even I don't have the balls to do this! I was so nervous to shoot this because it's my first time to do boudoir, and I'm afraid that I might be stepping over some boundaries. But I learned that as long as you ask permission, and as if she's comfortable with doing anything, is the way to do this.
Somehow, I forgot how empowering photographs can be. And hearing her reaction when she saw the final photos literally brought tears to my eyes because it felt rewarding to help bring back that confidence in a person.
This definitely made me want to do more boudoir shoots!
